Swimathon Festival 2021
Swimming is back, let's celebrate together!
That’s right, to celebrate the glorious return of swimming, we bring you… The Swimathon Festival 2021! Taking place on 10-12 September, the Festival combines Swimathon with our open water equivalent, Open Water Swimathon – for the first time in history.
What is the Swimathon Festival?
The Festival is here to help us continue to celebrate and deliver our #SwimForAll ethos. We are encouraging everyone to participate and fundraise in a way that suits them – be it indoor, outdoor, free, paid, virtual or live. It's the truest celebration of swimming ever held in the UK. Swimming is back in all forms, it's back for everyone – and we want to celebrate with you!
Our Swimathon Festival Manifesto
“For the early divers and the evening dippers; for the fast lane speedsters and the leisurely lappers. For your pool, your lake, your community. Your home away from home. For those we miss and with those we’ve missed. It’s a challenge with purpose and for a purpose. It’s your time to return to the water. A swim for all. The Swimathon Festival. This one’s for you.”
How to get involved
As part of The Swimathon Festival, all of our usual entry options will still be available for both Swimathon and Open Water Swimathon – that’s across Individual and Team distances, as well as the flexibility of MySwimathon also still being an option. We’d love for as many of you as possible to take on a pool challenge AND an open water challenge, but there’s absolutely no pressure to. This is a #SwimForAll and therefore, we want you to simply be able to choose the challenge, or challenges, that best suit you.
Good luck with your training!
