Our Charity Partners
Our official charity partners for Swimathon 2021 are Cancer Research UK and Marie Curie. Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, this partnership has raised more than £5 million towards their incredible work. COVID-19 has had a devastating effect on charity income, so your support is needed now more than ever. Start fundraising today!
At Cancer Research UK, we want to bring forward the day that all cancers are cured. We are the world's leading charity dedicated to beating cancer through research. We are fighting over 200 different types of cancer: from the most common cancers, such as breast and lung, to rarer types, like pancreatic and children’s cancers.
Through events like Swimathon, we are able to raise vital funds for research into cancer. COVID-19 has slowed us down. But we will never stop.
This past year proves, more than any other, the value of investing in science and medical research, and what can be achieved with collective focus and collaboration. Just like science is our route out of the pandemic, science is our route to beating cancer.
1 in 2 of us will get cancer. All of us can support the research that will beat it.
Marie Curie is the UK’s leading end of life charity, here to support people through all aspects of dying, death and bereavement – and to fight for a society where everyone gets to have the best experience possible at the end of their lives.
Marie Curie is here to help the UK talk, plan and prepare, to get things sorted in advance. Our nurses, hospices and support line officers are on the front line to help people, along with their family and friends, through their final years, months, days and hours of life – whether they have coronavirus, or any illness they’re likely to die from. Our bereavement service is there for loved ones left behind.
Marie Curie’s researchers push to discover more about what makes a good end of life, and our policy experts and campaigners fight for a society where everyone gets to have the best experience possible at the end of their lives.
